I’ll admit it. I got sucked in by the UConn women and their quest for greatness. They were really killing other squads. When you win an elite 8 game 90-40, you are playing a completely different sport. But then in the national championship game, these chick scored 12 points in the first half. That is just unacceptable. I felt like I might as well have been watching this:

As a coach, a few things stand out for me
1) Where was the transition defense??? 17 seconds into the fast break (haa! i don’t even think it’s possible to have a 17 second fast break) the team in black was still going 5 against 2.
2) Reason numero uno why I hate girls basketball…missed layups. Please reference the Stanford vs. Xavier game from last week. A chic literally blew 2 wide open layups to win the game. I just can’t take that bull$hat.
3) Look a faces of the other girls when she fell flat on her face. The perfect mixture of amazement, confusion and concern.
